Matters used in the creation of nose piercing jewellery :

316L Steel : 316L steel is the most commonly used matter in body jewellery creation. It is often used for ready to wear pieces and is only available in its raw colour, silvery.

TITANIUM : Body tolerates titanium very well as it is nickel-free (90% titanium, 6%aluminium and 4%vanadium). Titanium is recommended for people suffering from an allergy to nickel. It is a very light matter and allows for better healing. Titanium body jewellery is available in all shapes and colours, and adapts perfectly to any area of the body pierced.

NIOBIUM : Niobium is a silvery metal, heavier than titanium. Niobium body jewellery is more expensive as the matter is not easily found on the market.

BLACK LINE : Black line is basically titanium coated in a black pigment.

GOLD : Gold is only available in two aspects : white gold, and yellow gold. Gold is a noble matter, reserved to luxury body jewellery.

SILVER : Silver is not always advised in the creation of barbells, as this matter is not hypoallergenic and oxidizes quickly. However, sillver can be safely used for designs and body jewellery accessories (navel jewellery, ear jewellery).

PTFE : PTFE is also called Teflon. Flexible plastic matter, well tolerated by our body, it is often used by pregnant women as you can cut its size to the desired length, by people with allergies, and sometimes of course to be able to keep a body piercing discreet.

BIOPLAST : Plastic matter causing no allergy. A Bioplast rod can be cut to the desired length, and accompanied by a titanium ball at the end, for example. Bioplast is best : for body piercings around the mouth, for people with allergies, but also to try and keep one's piercing discreet.

ACRYLIC : Acrylic is a plastic matter well tolerated by our body. It is available in a range of colours and can be made to react to black lights, in clubs for example.

HORN, BONE, WOOD, AMBER : Matters used by the ancient ethnic tribes. Horn, bone and wood adapt perfectly well to nose body jewellery, as long as you are confident enough to wear them!!!!!
