Healing of your nose piercing

It takes from 6 to 12 months for your nose piercing to completely heal. The average length of time for a proper healing is of about 9 months.

Never change your body jewellery and don't take it off during this whole time without fail !!! It is a friend's advice you should remember. Even if you have bought new jewellery and can't wait trying it, please hold on. The only around it if you want to change the design of your jewellery, is to find micro labret or any type of item with screwable ends, so you can just change the ends without moving the bar inside the hole of the piercing.

You want to ask : but why the **** would I wait that long ? My skin seems perfectly healed, surely there will be no problem.... Well there there could !!!! The healing in the early stages is only superficial. Indedd, there are two phases to a proper healing:

Initial healing: The skin reshapes inside the "tube", which is then hard, red and accompanied by lymph flows,. Clean them with a cotton-bud. Crucial phase of the healing, this initial period will require all your attention.

Complete healing: The "tube" becomes white, supple and insensitive. It could take alltogether from 9 to 6 months. Be patient and regular in your care, and you shouldn't be faced with any difficulties. If you notice something unusual or suffer anormlly don't hesitate to contact your GP or your chemist.

Nose piercing, like all body piercing, takes always more than a month to heal, so don't trust the appearances.
